The Arkugan is a dojutsu Kekkei Genkai that manifests itself upon birth but fades after a few days, it can then only be activated after sufficient training or when the user is put into danger. The eyes are activated by the user concentrating and do not require any hand seals. When first manifested and with minimal training the Arkugan merely gives a slight increase in perception speed to the user. However after the user has learnt to effectively use the Arkugan they are able to percieve things as if they were moving at 3 quarters normal speed, thus allowing them to dodge attacks directed at them easily. Continued use of the Arkugan results in the user constantly desiring to kill and increased bloodthirst, as the Arkugan uses the cognitive functions associated with emotional control to process vision at a faster rate, this causes the user to be animalistic and violent due to reverting back to instinctual descisions based on survival and killing.

If the user does not meditate after use of the Arkugan this bloodthirst begins to add up, eventually resulting in the Arkugan user commiting suicide to satisy their bloodlust. As such the Arkugan can only be used safely for short amounts of time lest the user risk uncontrollable suicide.

Arkugan Bloodlust Stages

3-5 posts: The Arkugan can be used without any visible or major affects to aggression or bloodlust.

6-8 posts: The Arkugan user feels an increased desire to cause pain, whilst still controllable the user will make more rash decisions with a greater desire to cause pain. After deactivation these feelings dissapitate within seconds.

9-15 posts: The Arkugan user feels an almost uncontrollable desire to kill and cause pain, while still able to process rational thoughts they are tainted with the drive to kill and unless a rational reason is given for not killing the user will kill a defeated opponent. After deactivation the user feels bloodlust equal to 6-8 posts until meditation.

15-16 posts: The Arkugan user is uncontrollable in their rage and bloodlust, killing anything that actively combats them, they are unable to distinguish friend from foe and their only focus is to destroy their opponents in any way possible, regardless of self injury. After deactivation the user feels bloodlust equal to 9-15 posts until meditation.

17+: The Arkugan user will commit suicide after a battle to satisy their own bloodlust, the only way they can be stopped is through physical restraint by an ally or a force that forces the user to become unconcious. If the Arkugan user can survive this level of Arkugan use they retain a bloodlust level of 9-15 posts until meditation has been done constantly for 15 hours, if meditation is not complete the bloodlust will remain. There is a possiblility of going mad if this level of bloodlust is obtained.

Cursed and Pefect Arkugan

The Bachiatari are able to unlock further stages of the Arkugan if they are able to survive the maxumim bloodlust levels of the Arkugan. Often certain clan members are allowed to do this under controlled conditions, where various seals are set up that prevent them from hurting anyone or themselves during the duration of the ritual. Once this level of exposure is survived succesfully without going mad the user activates a 'cused' Arkugan. This allows them to see things at half normal speed, however the bloodlust is no longer accumulative upon activation, when used the user automatically gains large amounts of bloodlust and desires to kill their opponent. Upon deactivation normal meditation must be undergone to return to normal.

To cure the bloodlust of an Arkugan completely there is a secret ritual known only to the village elders and it requires a person to already have a Cursed Arkugan. No other members of the vilage know about this ritual and only a select handful of Bachiatari have ever had it performed to them. The ritual involves the Arkugan user beign covered in secret seals contained within a scroll. To access the scroll the village elders perform a 5 man summoning jutsu which brings all parts of the scroll to them. The Arkugan user then stands in the middle of a large circle of seals, and large vats of blood are brought and sealed into the circle. The ritual requires 30L of blood to be use and due to this it is only done on rare occasions when the elders are able to obtain enough blood to create the Perfect Arkugan. The final part of the ritual involves the user activating their Arkugan and channeling their chakra into the seals, the five village elders also channel their chakra into the seals and they begin to wrap up the users body and into their eyes. The process takes a whole 24 hours and upon completion the user is able to use the Perfect Arkugan. When completed the ritual grants the user the ability to use the Cursed Arkugan without bloodlust, a strong power in itself. However it also gives the user an additional ability, every person that is killed by the user can have their soul sealed within the Arkugan, the user is then able to use these souls as part of a jutsu in battle.

REQUIRES A PERFECT ARKUGAN

The user uses absorbed souls to form an armour around their body, this provides extra protection to the user but also allows them to move at a much faster speed. This jutsu is S-ranked and can only be used once every couple of days and only if the available souls have been absorbed. When the jutsu is stopped the absorbed souls are used up and completely dispelled and the user suffers from chakra drain equal to an S-rank jutsu (NOTE: Every 2 posts accounts for one soul). The armour is capable of deflecting most attacks, and is only susceptible to direct attacks of an equal rank, the main way to combat thsi jutsu is to outlast the opponent. Due to the absorption of souls as the key part of this jutsu it is only taught to those who the village elders have deemed uncorruptable and will use it for good rather than evil, the elders have a scroll of sealing that will erase the ability to use this jutsu and will use it if they perceive the technique has been abused in any way.

History:
The Bachiatari originated from a small village of the same name within the Land of Fire. They lived in peace for hundreds of years and only some of their select youths were sent to train as ninja's for the protection of the village. After many years of interbreeding between the Bachiatari, Uchiha and Hyuuga clans the first users of the Arkugan emerged, they demonstrated extensive perception to the point where they could see things happen in slow motion. The heads of the clan recognised that a rare Kekkei Genkai had emerged and soon the clan entered a strict marriage system to ensure that every child was born with the ability. This marriage system meant that those who had the Arkugan had to marry other who did so as to increase the chance of the child inheriting the ability.

The Great Slaughter
The Bachiatari soon succumbed to overuse of the Arkugan and began to fight other villiages, getting more and more bloodthirsty through their continued use of the Arkugan and losing more and more members in battle. The bloodthirst reached its peak when the clan turned on itself, families attacking each other and many people commiting suicide to satisfy their own bloodlust. The following conflict lasted many days as the ninja of the clan began slaughtering everyone to satisfy their bloodlust, in defence of their families many people avtivated their Arkugan but soon succumbed to the same bloodlust. Over a few days the clan was almost annihalated by the fighing, with most of the victors killing themselves. After this cataclysmic event the clans numbers were radically reduced, with only 27 members left, 17 female and 10 male. The remaining members recognised the danger that overuse of the Arkugan posed. The clan then declared the Arkugan only to be used sparingly and sealed away all knowledge of it's advanced techniques so as to avoid a similar event from occuring. Furthermore every member was instructed in the ways of meditation so as to control their emotions even when using the Arkugan.

The clan slowly regenerated and its members increased, although it never recovered to its former numbers or glory. Members of the Bachiatari clan begin schooling at the age of 6 and are taught meditation and basic skills such as reading, writing and rudimentary mathematics. At the age of 10 they are given the option to enter the ninja academy or continue to live in the village as normal citizens. The clan hierachy is a ruling body of the 5 oldest members of the clan who act as judges when laws are broken and also dictate what the laws of the village are.

Ehh, sorry, the effects of the Arkugan overlap with that of the sharingan and thus I am going to have to deny this clan.

O.o how so?

If you'll notice the Arkugan is significantly different to the Sharingan, it in no way enhances movement speed or clarity of vision, it comes with a drawback in the form of the bloodlust accumulation and does not give the user the ability to see through genjutsu or chakra in any way. The Arkugan merely allows the user to things at a slower speed and the clan is essentially speeding up reaction time and the time allocated to form strategies and think. i just thought id point out the same things i had to on a previous forum to show its differences, and eventually it was approved
