Summons are controlled NPC animals, insects or otherwise creatures that can be called upon with the help of the summoning Jutsu. Kuchiyose no Jutsu is needed, which is in the "starting package" in the beginning guide. But just in case, here it is again!

[b]Description:[/b] A powerful jutsu, Ninpo Kuchiyose allows a ninja to summon animals, objects and the dead to fight on their behalf. There are many ways in which the ninja can sign a contract with a summon but it is usually done with the ninja signing a blood contract with the animal species. This allows the user to summon different size and skilled animals to fight along side them, or on their behalf.

Now that THAT detail is out of the way, their are many rules that are created to dictate the use of summons, as having an extra critter to fight with can in many situations be a major advantage. First of all, you can only have a single summoned being at a time and can only summon one beast per thread. Otherwise, armies of summons could easily be stacked against one another. Secondly, a summon species can only have a single element, and this element must be one of the elements that your character have. This cannot include an advanced element. The summon can have three techniques, and only a single "specialty" and can choose between Ninjutsu, taijutsu and genjutsu. This way, summons are only for support, not a primary weapon. You may only have a single species of summon also.

Now that THAT is cleared up, the question is, how many summons are allowed to be created? It's safe to say that a summon can't be greater in rank then the user. Thus, you can only have a single summon of your own rank. However, this is the only limit. You can create as many summons on a single contract as you like. Below is the template so... go nuts!

A side note: Some Summons are big and strong enough for you to ride on, with or even inside of. If this is a possibility it must have the technique bellow in order for you to use it as a mode of transportation.

[b]Description:[/b] This is not actual fusion in a sense. Instead, it simple means that while the user can ride his or her summon. It also means that in sure a condition, the two can work as a single unit; reacting to one another and covering each others strengths and weaknesses by reaction only to the best of their ability. This is essencial to team combat  between user and summon.
